I connected the Cable Modem with from the cable that was connected to the Dell PC. I took the cable out of the Dell PC and put it in my G3 iMac because I wanted to test it out if it would work. I set everything up; I put the IP Address, DNS Servers and everything and hit "Apply Now" I wait and click Internet Explorer. It takes forever to load...then it says Error. I don't know what error it is but I can't go to any webpages or anything because it says that. I've tried this with other things multiple times. Is it just me or the mac or the Modem because I have no idea how to set it up. Please help. I'm currently running OS X 10.2 Jaguar. Thank You. If it's the Mac then I might just have to sell it because I have no use for it without getting onto the Internet. I don't have an Airport Card either. Thanks

Make sure your proxies are right.

Try a different browser, like safari or firefox. Try and access the modem config pageby typing it's IP in a web browser, that is the most important.

After you connect the Mac to the Cable modem you need to do this:
    Unplug the Cable Modem
    Wait at least 30 seconds.
Plug the Cable modem back in

Wait until the lights on the modem come back on and it should be good.
