I went from a G3 600 iBook to a...

um...

*deebster remembers he wants a new G5*

:)

Seriously though, whilst I am very happy that my 3 year old baby still runs well and handles Tiger nicely (except the pesky 8MB VRAM that won't give any eye candy), I'm hoping the step up to a G5 2.0 GHz will be revelational.

If we're going to be talking about leaps and all that :)

I was on my P100 for about 4 years before finally getting a new machine. It was unreal how fast it was. I went from a P100 to an AMD K6 2 450 and it was like being able to breathe again.

Mac-wise, I did a 500Mhz G3 to a 550Mhz G4 which was a jump, then from there to a 1Ghz G4 which was a huge jump

From a 1Ghz G4 I went to a 1.6Ghz G5, which wasn't that noticeable in the beginning, but after a while I noticed it a lot more.
