Ok, this wraps up the thread. The G4 is better at what it does from my experience.

Why bother starting a thread when you had this conclusion from the beginning?

And heck, you quoted someone who drew the other conclusion - it's slower in everyday purposes but is good at a few specific tasks, most of which most users wouldn't use.

Either way, they were both thoroughly trounced by the AMD K8 and it's amazing how much faster the Core 2 series has on the previous CPU's, its not even fair
