Bus speed is 50, so the multiplier is 16. I read that the Apollo (7455) chip can support a 16x multiplier. I guess I won't need to overclock this one!

It's not only 800MHz, but has 256K on-chip running at 800MHz, and 1MB external L3 running at 400MHz. This has got to be one zippy chip! I'm going to buy one. At $400, it's a deal.

I wonder if they fixed the problem with the L2 not being enabled on proc upgrade cards. Before, in X, you had to enable it manually. Now we have L2 and L3 to deal with. And there was that six-slot issue with some upgrade cards. We'll just have to see. Sonnet does have good tech support.

Thanks!

oh...I thought the bus multiplyer was only 10x, but the last time I looked was for the G4 7410 chip. That was a while ago. I guess I need to do some more reading on this stuff. I think I'll buy one too. I have a PM9500 with the current sonnet 450mhz G4 chip in it. I really hate the conflictions it creates with my PCI cards though!  Oh well maybe they will fix this in the 800mhz card...
