G4 mac works on a 17" vga but not 19"?????

Alight guys finally got my compter up and running my g4 mac works on a 17" display, but when i hook it up to my sony 19" SDM-HS95 it doesn't the only think I think it can be is the old video card.
Video card is geforce 2 mx the adc one?
Any ideas?

That behavior seems bizarre, as I get both 1440*900 and 1280*1024 out of my several generations previous G4 (450Mhz AGP Graphics), either one of two things, the graphics card is broken / faulty, or the monitor isn't working right. What resolutions are you trying to achieve?

you were right it was the video card. I checked and resetted it. It is working for the moment. its really old cant wait to get a 6800 ultra in there.
