Where can i get a copy of os 9.2.2 so that my tower can boot it? I keep seeing that OS 9 is available for free download but I can't find it!

Downloading Mac OS 9 for free is pirating as it isn't freely downloadable yet. Your best bet your be eBay.

The updates are free so you can find 9.0/9.1 or so and update to 9.2 for free. Check ebay. I'm sure you can source a disc for pennies....

As long as your MDD is:

G4 1ghz MDD.

it won't be able to boot OS 9. It's FW800. Only Classic mode in OS X.
