any idea why i still only have the option of 1x or 2x burn speed when using a burn folder in finder?
using some generic dvd-r discs.
perhaps off topic but will an increase in ram speed up the importing of clips to imovie from hard disk?
never used imovie before for anything this is my first time.

Hi,

I too can only choose 1x or 2x when burning a DVD from the finder. I haven't burnt a CD in a while, but I recall that I can get much faster speeds with them. Also, have you tried using Toast? I've found that it is much more efficient (I even think I can choose higher speeds, maybe the app is mistaken, but then again, maybe the finder is the one who is wrong).

I hope we can find some more info on this. Is it possible DVDs require much lower speeds?
