I have a friend also retired (ex London Drugs Computer dept guy) and we meet pretty much every week for coffee and to swap lies.
Long story -short, this afternoon he's in for a surprise, I'm gifting him the first G5 I purchased, (dual 1.8). Just completed a fresh install of Leo on it and it's ready to go.
Since I got the Quad it has sat lonely and ignored in a closet, so I'm glad to see it will be used and appreciated again.

Those dual 1.8s when running Leopard with some graphics optimizations which help a lot with nVidia GeForce FX5200 run great! I am sure he will greatly enjoy that Mac!

That G5 has a Radeon 9800 XT in it, really gung-ho.

I am sure it flies with that card! I still need to swap the CPUs in mine, but that is a project for after finals this week.

I have been generously given parts by @eyoungren before and I greatly appreciate the good will of all members here. It is nice how we all can swap parts amongst each other so freely to help others! Thank you!
