G5 Quad Upgrades

Hello eveeryone, i want to upgrade the G5 Quad i just got! It has already 10gb of ram installed and the seller sent me some sticks, so in theory i should be able to max out the ram to 16GB with those.
Mainly i would like to upgrade to an SSD but i know that some SATA3 drives doesnt work with the machine. Does anyone with a G5 Quad tell me what SSD he is using so i can buy the same and have no issue at all?
Second thing could be the GPU. atm it has a Nvidia 6600, what are my options there?

I got the kingston a400 960gb for my G5 .it works great no issues!

The two most popular (and most powerful) options are the NVIDA Quadro FX4500 and the Radeon X1900 XT (or X1950XT if you can find one).

Both cards require additional power hookup, but the Quadro takes two slots whereas the 1900 takes one.

I suppose for a GPU to work, it has to be PCIe and have an Open Firmware image in the PCIe card's option ROM.

For some reason, they don't show any SSDs as internal storage options, not even their SATA2 options. Maybe it's a garbage collection issue:
