hello all,
i am very excited baout this new powermac g5. this thing is going to rock... however, i need a few things clarified and was wondeeing if anyone out there knew anything to shed light on the situation.

pci-x sounds very cool. i know it supports 33mhz universal pci cards, but does that slow doen the pci bus? kiind of like when you put a scsi1 drive on a u2w scsi card, everything on that bus defaults to the slowest speed? if i could put in my protools sound cards (all 33mhz pci) and not slow down the bus and get additional bandwidth throughout... holy s*** that would be sweet.

also, imagine dual 10k rpm serial ata drives in the g5on separate serial ata busses. holy s*** indeed!
