I finally got both hard drives unstuck from my G5 and got it to read them both after putting them back in. For some reason it now reads the second drive as being only 0 Bytes and calls it "Media". I plugged it into my PC and it read it just fine. As a just in case I used diskpart to run the clean command and then formated it as Fat32. Windows 7 read the entire disk and could read and write from it. My G5 cannot do anything with it but realize I have something plugged in.

I'd check the SATA cable and the connector for damage. Als open up Disk Utility and post a screenshot (shift command 3) here.
The plastic on the sata cable connection is damaged but still works with other drives, so the cable I can rule out. I've disconnected my G5 though, so I'll post a screenshot tomorrow when I plug it back in.
