I wonder if the scammers would make more money if they offered up the merchandise for a reasonable ammount. Then people wouldn't be so suspecting and send them cold hard cash.

there are always scams like this for powermacs asking for western union trasfers (never use that!), in the UK the cost 1200 pounds instead of dollars, some of the sellers seem to have lots of previos feedback, i don't know how they manage that.

Sounds more like the real stuff to me ...

I suggest you stop fishing in the toilet for stuff to smoke, and visit your local drug dealer.

Hijacked account. A hint of hijacked account is when they advertise numerous times not to use Contact Seller and to use a specified address.

Nah it's not a scam. I've ordered through this guy many of times. Just go for it.

buhahaha. People still falling for this s***

Anything with Western Union overseas usually is SCAM especially with all that stuff he listed. I fell for that once and lost $2000 with Western Union money transfer (not an Apple computer but over a video game system) Don't be a fool, but you're not since you reported it. It's ashame that people are suckers for deals like this.

Sounds too good to be true.
Probably, only thing that can make it sound more hokey is if somebody offers him a money back guarantee.

Like....

"Go for it... If you aren't satisfied, I'll refund 110% of any money sent to my account for this purchase.*"

* Though I'll need a small $250 up-front fee due western union to pay for the money transfer.

It seems like I have been hearing alot about eBay scams recently. It seems like to me that eBay needs to get on the ball and come up with some kind of system that can combat this kind of trouble. I would be VERY weary of buying on eBay ever again after hearing about this and all the other scams within the past year or so.

its sad there are so many scamers( like this) so when youo see a good deal( a not scam) you may not go for it because of people like this, i say to him/her get a real job and if he /she is doing this for extra $$$ learn to budget your money for get a 2nd real jobs.

I find these, "Is this a good deal" threads to be very tiresome. I guess many still think there is such a thing as a free lunch.

Indeed there are. At any given time, there seems to be at least a few obvious scammers trying to sell high-dollar Apple stuff. I wouldn't hold my breath for ebay to do anything about it though. That company could care less.
