I've never bothered with this setting on my GS4, but I knew it was there. I was happy with the vibrant colors so just didn't bother for accurate colors as I didnt want my screen to look washed out like the LCD screens that boasted accurate colors. But accurate colors don't have to mean a washed out looking screen. This is especially true on an Amoled screen with its infinite contrast. So that being said, I switched my screen mode to movie, and bam! My screen never looked better. I remember the guys at Displaymate saying this, and they're absolutely right. Colors look accurate and pictures and videos still pop. Give it a try if you haven't, you're eyes will thank you for it.
I should add, my co-worker prefers the standard setting and slightly more saturation. But the take away from all this is that Samsung should be applauded for the advancements in this display tech while giving us different calibrated modes for choice. How can anyone not appreciate this? Very nice.

I use adapt display on my S4. The movie mode makes my screen look washed out, but you're right - it is easier on the eyes.

The Note 3 and then the S4 in Movie mode make them the most accurate displays on the market with the contrast to boot.

Thanks for this thread, only just got an S4 and still getting used to various things.

The screen mode on Adapt was blinding at night (even on minimum brightness!), so hopefully this will make a difference.

That's correct. As far as I'm concerned, saturated colors on Amoled is now a thing of the past. Having these presets really is the best of both worlds. Accurate colors for those who want it, and vibrant colors for the rest.

I used mine in professional photo mode too, standard and vivid just hurt my eyes.

Note 2 has this as well. I used to have it set to natural which was the best imo. However when Samsung brought the new 4.3 and Touchwiz updates they replaced natural with Professional Photo which seems to be a bit more saturated. Now I just use Movie. Saddened me for a bit until I got a bit more adjusted to it.
