OK noob alert..

Will this work for a international UK unlocked model?

I'm running the official stock kit kat build.

Only ever unlocked, rooted and put a custom rom on my old Nexus 5 which by its nature was dead easy. From what I've read Samsung like to lock things down a lot these days.

Not sure but you can check the thread out. It does seem to work on a lot of different devices though. I'd say make a backup and give it a whirl. Push comes to shove, you can always go back to your backup.

For you guys having battery issues try this:

It made a HUGE HUGE difference with my battery life.

Thanks, checking it out now.

So I have to "root" my phone to get battery life that I should anyways?

LOL Samsung/Touchwiz

Yea it's a shame, I never intended on rooting my phone but the benefits do outweigh the negatives. Especially since Kitkat was a clusterfuk ..... Hello greenify, I missed you 😀

Are you using Greenify as well as removal of the wake lock spinedoc posted?

I'm not using Greenify, I'm pretty happy with that last tweak. I listen to streaming music for my 2 1/2 hour lunchtime workout. Between the morning at work and my workout my battery would be 60-70% by the afternoon. After the tweaks my battery is closer to 80-90%. I don't even use my phone that much, I think it was just wakelocking a lot in my pocket.

I installed greenify and removed the wakelock last night. My phone was at 86 percent. When I woke up this morning, it was still at 86 percent.
