Not sure if any of you have decided on a case for your GS4 yet, but I never pick up a phone until I have the case and screen protector first. I've always liked Spigen for my iP4. Currently I'm deciding between these two cases for the GS4.

And for the screen protector, I'll get their ultra crystal Steinheil protector.

Anyone have any other recommendations for a brand they can attest to having a good experience?

Naked. It's just plastic. And replaceable.

Screen protector on front. The generic static-cling kind. Done.

Those are some nice back cases. I looked up the first one and Amazon is selling them for $25.99 with five colors to choose from. I think I might order the white and the black ones. The white really stands out and the black would look seamless with the black S4 I plan on getting.

I don't do screen protectors anymore. Never used one on the iP4, iP4S and don't use one on the S3. Never had a scratch, but I make sure my left front pocket is dedicated to my phone only. No keys, coins, or anything else. Plus a back case prevents the screen from touching the surface when face down.

This aspect of a case is a life saver if you ever drop your phone and it lands screen first. Just one save, makes it worth it.

That's one of the main reasons to get a case.

Those two pictured look nice. Soon, there will be many more.

Personally, I'm waiting for the Galaxy Note 3.

I'm waiting on the S4 and coming from a series of iPhones since 2008. If I want to get the back plate on the S4 replaced, what is the best way to go about it? And the same question if I want to get a new screen installed.

    You don't need either.

This isn't an iPhone. It won't bend or scratch if you look at it wrong. I'm at 10 months on my S3 and have never used a case or screen protector. Still looks new.

I have quite a few Spigen covers for my N4 and iP5 - the Slim Armor for iP5 is my favorite case I've ever owned - and I've had a ton of them. Can't go wrong there.

    ----------

You drop it, the screen will crack. I too have had multiple iPhones and "looking at them wrong" never damaged the phone - dropping them did. Hence, the cover.

    Seriously, grow up.

I've have dropped my S3 several times on wood, concrete and on the lower section of my car dash (numerous times). Spend $10 on a new battery cover and it looks like new again. Haven't had a single issue with the 2nd gen gorilla glass. You see, I don't need to treat my phone with kid gloves and I get to keep the phone light and slim, as it was designed.

Now, how many bent iPhone 5's have I seen? Or having the black edges turn silver from simply sliding it in and out of the pocket? Or seen multiple scratches all over the phone from normal use. Answer: Every single one that didn't have a cheap plastic case protecting it. Just like yours.
This has nothing to do with "growing up" (nice childish response btw), but a fact. I dare you to go without a case on your iPhone 5 for 1 day and use it normally. $20 says it will be scratched, dented and or bent in 24 hours. But I already know you won't do it.

    (1) This is anecdotal evidence, so the only way I can respond is in kind - take it with whatever amount of salt you want as I do.

    (2) I DID use my iP5 without cover for the first few months I had it (I'm extremely indecisive about cases). Dropped it twice, once on my tile (not a scratch or dent on it) and once at the gym (go figure I get a nick from that hard rubbery floor).

(3)I have 6 family members (including my wife) and all have iP5s....none have any damage, bent or otherwise.

    (4) You realize the iP5 uses Gorilla Glass 2 as well right?

    (5) Go check out some drop tests (ones done by Android tech sites even). All show the iP5 actually fares better than the GS3 does.

    (6) I've also seen plenty of GS3's and other "plastic" Android phones with cracked screens and backs.

Point: You're trolling. Grow up. People put cases on phones for protection yes, but also for style. I can tell you I wouldn't have bought my Slim Armor if I didn't like the way it looked. And I rock my iP5 without it every now and again because I love the feel and look of the phone itself.

I don't coddle my phone, I treat it like every other piece of expensive technology I have. I simply take care of it. Like I would ANYTHING that cost me $200+ (and was worth more).

I've had an iPhone 5 for almost a month. I don't have a case, and it still looks brand new. No scratches, scuffs, or dents.

I plan to sell it and get a GS4 as soon as it is out on Verizon, but I'll wait until I hold the GS4 before deciding if I want to put a case on it. I kept a bumper on my 4S, but besides that I've never used a case on an iPhone.

I'm gonna pick up one of those new glass screen protectors and the OEM Samsung S View flip cover. Nothing more, nothing less.

So you turn a galaxy s4 accessories thread into an opportunity to rant and whine about the iPhone.

Wow and they say Apple fanboys are bad haha.

My iPhone 5 is naked except for a screen protector. Love it. So far, so good.

I hate cases. My future phone, be it S4 or the One, will also be caseless.

You got an iPhone 5? (haven't been frequenting MR as much lately and last I heard you were having problems with your Nexus 4).

Oh and in reply to post #2: the screen isn't as easily replaced but it easily shatters if it's anything like the S3. I generally dislike cases but put up with them because of the added protection and I always get a slim case.
