Likewise it could be entirely calibrated differently. Like the SRGB mode on the 6P and Basic mode on the Samsung range which contrary to his assertions are actually more 'accurate' than the default - albeit less vibrant and oversaturated. Although many like the oversaturated look of amoled screens.
There is also an assertion I've seen on the fora that ANY Amoled beats an LCD which is likewise nonsense. There are many poorer amoled screens where oversaturation is the least of the problem, but yellow tinting, extremely poor outdoor visibility and colour accuracy / gamma are all banjaxed. The Nexus 6, Moto X 2014 etc...
So yes there is plenty of room for personal preference and likewise contrary to opinion 'display-mate' results are not infallible either. They are not the arbitrary appointed governors.
The Samsung S6/Edge have great screens undoubtably. But the likes of the iPhone 6S Plus and Moto X Style/Pure and Nexus 6P etc.. are not far behind either. Indeed one little star turned out to be the OnePlus X which actually has an excellent amoled screen which is up there with the best of 2015 and even has a better white point than the more expensive Samsung devices, a marvel at a $250 phone...
So all this 'smack' talk is just silly. We should all just be grateful that 2015 was actually a very good year for smartphones generally and the quality of the display in flagships and even some of the affordable lower mid rangers (OnePlus X) has really improved overall regardless of display tech.
