You can set the color saturation in settings, one of the first things I do, that and uninstall a ton a bloatwear.

And if that counts, wasn't the Nexus S (Samsung) curved the slightest bit long before the Flex?

The Nexus S had curved glass, not display. The flex was the first with a curved display, then like a week later Samsung released one with a curve, don't remember what it was called.

It counts, that being said what Samsung is doing is much better, not only is the curve in a better position IMO, but the display is of much better quality according to the press. Can't wait to see it in person.

Ah, ok. They must've been developing it around the same time however. Something that close, I don't think we can say one copied the other.
And it was probably a result of both LG and Samsung developing curved displays for TVs.

Samsung does have more of an open ear and open mind than Apple.
I guess they let the tech reviewers dictate their recent move after hearing all the bemoaning about how their design and build quality sucks and feels cheap. I just find it funny when a removable battery and sd slot were included, reviewers glossed right over it and only focused complaining about design and build quality. Now that they didn't include both as well as water/dust resist, the new complaints is what it doesn't have anymore!
S5 was the most underappreciated Galaxy S phone of all-time! Band-aid design and all.
But Samsung can EASILY fix this with enough complaining and feedback. Variants, variants, variants. Samsung is more sensitive to criticism than Apple. LG and HTC did the same thing in 2013 and yet nobody complained about as much as Samsung in 2015. I think Samsung can do an LG only to bring back both features in 2016 with the S7 like what LG did with the G3. If they do another S6 variant, use the same rear as ones found in the recent Notes. Make it thicker for higher batt capacity. I love that rear cover of the Note much more than another glass rear. I don't CARE if we got to Gorilla Glass 19. I want more grip and a slopey S Edge will make it slippery with a glass rear.

People will complain no matter what, not just about this phone but any phone or product. Some people are just man babies and will act like it

Nice review. Wow 2560x1440 versus 1334x750, seriously that's pitiful on the iPhones part. If the pattern remains the same the iPhone 6s will be the same resolution, that's nuts to go another year and a half with that resolution.

I really like the double tap home button to start the camera on the s6 too. Its akin to Motorola's twist to launch the camera except you won't be dropping it. 😉
And apparently that double tap for the camera can be used when the device is asleep and anytime when the device is on. So you can even launch it during the middle of an app.
Good move. Simple. Functional.

Are you aware at all that Loop Pay existed before apple? Is Apple just as uncreative? There are probably a countless number of other naming conventions out there that end in "pay". So petty.

Meh....the difference here is overstated. Resolution isn't the end-all be-all.
I think the 6S will have a 1080p display though. But I don't see any reason to go past that. Optimize the SoC and battery life.

Holy crap, here are some bench scores comparing the m9 to the s6, and wow. While the m9 scored very well, the s6 just blew it out of the water. This gens exynos is showing to be a real power house.

NICE! It's a gripe I had about the S5. It wasn't very loud and the speaker placement sucked.
The S6 got it right for sure. Same for the headphone jack move.

I think people in the USA have forgotten that the Exynos was the game changer when it first appeared in the S2. It was an absolute beast.
I'm glad Qualcomm is out, and Samsung is back in the global SOC game.

So according to gizmo do the high pixel count is to accomodate virtual reality.
And the phone is easier to grip and less slippery than the iPhone.
Oh, and they also say there were no accidental taps when using the edge. Good sign!

When you see things broken down like this, it's hard not to be impressed. Samsung seriously gave everything they got into this device. Supports wireless and fast charging. The new camera features (including double tap to launch), the payment modes that are more universal, the display, the louder speaker...
I mean this is a fantastic upgrade. And I'm just talking about the regular s6.

S6 edge could be a prototype and sneak peek of future smartphone design for the next five years...
Just like the Dell Streak & Samsung Galaxy Note set the trend on current screen sizes. Although they both had a huge footprint even for today, their screen sizes back then were a sneak peek for phones that were released the last 3-4 years. Look at Apple's record-breaking success just by increasing screen sizes. They should thank Dell and Samsung for leading the way with those Hummer phones or we could still be stuck wincing at our 3.5 to 4 inch screens to view content, text slower, and having smaller & weaker battery life on our almost toy-like sized phones.
It really all depends how well Samsung and app developers can utilize those sides and prevent the edge from becoming just a novelty. We are in its infancy right now with Samsung just scratching the surface to its potential. Some of the negative or skepticism we are feeling right now is no different than how some of us felt about phones with larger than 3.5-4.3 inch screens just 4-5 years ago.
It is hard to see the future, but I feel Samsung just gave us another tiny glimpse of it with the S6's dual-edged display which could set off another trend in form factor for the rest of the decade...
