Now if you don't have power where you sleep, that's a different story but I'd imagine that doesn't apply to the overwhelming majority of us.

For the simple fact charging a device when it has 90% left is pointless to me. If it's anything below 50-60% then yes I would charge at night
 
Has anyone been able to get Apple Music to work on the S7E?

I know it is in Beta but when being prompted to sign in with my AppleID it says we will send a verification code to your device. I get it on my MacBook Pro but then there is nowhere on the S7E to enter that verification code?

But why wake up to a device with only 70-80% when you could have a fully charged phone with no additional effort (well, except for plugging it in 😀)? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I thought modern lithium ion battery cycles aren't based upon the number of times you plug it in but rather cumulative battery depletion, meaning charging in 10% increments 10X is the same as 100% one time.

My apologies if I appear to be badgering you, sincerely not my intention...just don't see the benefit in foregoing plugging it in overnight if you have the opportunity.

Not at all mate.

In fairness I mainly wanted to see how much the edge drained overnight compared to my iPhone and I wondered how much the phone battery mattered with screen display on

95% of the time I do charge my phone at night. Without fail I do this when I'm working. If I know I'm going to be at home next day that's when like the other day I took it off the charger before going bed

For example my battery has 3% left so will be charged before I go bed if I use fast charge

I have a wireless charger pad but not the fast one. So that takes about 3 hours to charge so may use that one so when I go bed it might still be charging

That's on order ☺️

And this is why I will keep my Note 5. The standard S7 screen is too small for me these days and the S7e screen is a perfect example of form over function.

I freely admit I have been increasingly attached to the Note series of phones as my Android driver these days and for me the Note 5 is the best version so far. In other words I did try an S6 last year and thought it was decent device just not for me.

Yeah, I have started using my Note 5 again too for this reason. It sucks because I love the performance, size, and look of the S7 Edge, but the awkwardness of trying not to touch the edges sucked. The only time that it felt comfortable was sitting or standing upright with most of your focus on the phone, but anything other than that and it became akward and you had to decide between risking dropping it or dealing with false touches.

I have had the S7E for about 4 days now with extensive use this weekend and havent recognized many false touches or maybe I don't know what they are actually lol.

I will say that I am going to scratch this thing to hell if I don't put a skin or something on it but then it hides the amazingness of that Titanium Silver. But a bunch of scratches would drive me mad.

I will say I suck at typing on this thing as it is so narrow (width wise) after coming from a 6S plus as it is almost awkward when using 2 hands as I have fairly large hands. I do not like that aspect of it so far.

Other than that though, this is easily a top 5 phone that I have ever owned and I have owned them all it seems!

Your struggle typing is an example of where i get false touches as parts of my hand touch screen and then keyboard fails to recognise a press and i have to adjust grip or press the key multiple times.

Mine is more inaccurate key strokes as the keyboard feels too tight and i need to try other options.

also the predictive isnt anywhere near as good as ios thus far which is a bummer.

Try the recently updated Google keyboard. Google is rolling it out in stages I believe so check if version 5.0xx is available in the Play Store. If not, go download the .apk for it. The new features to use the spacebar to move the cursor and swipe from the delete button to highlight and delete are terrific. I find it also has the best accuracy for both swiping and tapping... wish it was available on iOS.

This is why you use a case on the phone. No more false touches on the edge panel.
 
I can see why some do have issues as it can be tough at times but I love the form factor on this thing. I have no real issues using it one handed at all.

Still had to imagine it has same screen size as my iPhone.

This still blows me away in day to day use so far. The phone actually feels too small if you will as I have bigger hands and it feels like an iPhone 6 in my hand after coming from the 6s+.

The lightness of it is a big form factor that I love as I can put it my front pocket of my work pants and not feel so heavy as the 6s+ did.

It still seems you need a cord to the dock so I don't see how this solution is any better. I thought maybe it was a battery bank that needed to be charged every now and again versus plugged in all the time.

I need one for the car.

I also havent been able to figure out how to listen to my audio from Pandora and streaming services through the USB cord versus bluetooth in my car. Is that even possible?

I could do that with my 6s+ but can't seem to get it to work with my S7E.

To be honest i've had the same issues in terms of getting my music to work through my car also. Think i may need to add the device in settings on my car.

I've added it as a favorite device in the car but that is only for bluetooth. For the iPhone i would just connect it to the USB in the car, lightning to the phone, and it would automatically play whatever content is coming from the iPhone.

When I do the same for the S7E, it plays some Samsung horizons song and not the Pandora or Google play. I need to switch it to Bluetooth to make that work.

It's very odd.
