Might explain more battery drain at home then as my signal isn't great at home.

The May 1st patch came a couple of weeks ago. This update still says May 1st for security patch.

These updates are rather small, weighing in at around 43MB, and include security improvements. Specifically, T-Mobile says that there’s a “Google Security update” inside.

This is the second security update that T-Mo’s GS7 and GS7 edge have gotten this month, following the May Android security update that rolled out at the start of the month.

Hey guys, I am contemplating using my JOD to get an S7(from 6S+) until the iPhone 7 comes out but I love Apple Music, is it decent on Android?

I have my WiFi set to never turn off even in standby. I've always had it set up like this and it all stems back to worrying about exceeding my monthly data allocation. Although my monthly data allocation has changed and is quite large now(6gb), the habit has stayed with me.

The one thing I did turn off was WiFi Network Notifications.
 
I use both IOS and android. The biggest problem for me is that you can't even send a quality picture through MMS on any android device. It's alway send it to their email or dropbox or whatever other app you need to get a clear photo. My biggest gripe is in trying to send videos. It's definitely not user friendly at all. That's probably one of the reasons IOS users go back to IOS after attempting any android device. It's my main reason anyway and IMO the software and apps are way better in IOS as well. YMMV though.

That's actually because MMS has a physical restriction on the size of data that can be transmitted. iPhones utilize iMessage to overcome this limitation thus bypassing the size restrictions of MMS.

I don't find this to be as big an issue with WhatsApp being so heavily prevalent in today's day and age. If I need to share a picture or video, I send it through WhatsApp, quality suffers slightly but for general day to day communication, it's more than fine.

Even though iMessage is far better at sending media than MMs, I wouldn't send any video that's more than a very short duration. It much easier to share video via Cloud solutions like Apple Photos, Google Photos or Flickr and much less stressful on your own bandwidth. Sharing photos though is terrific via iMessage..of course limited to other Apple users.

I have serious doubts that its adoption will be better than any of Google's other messaging solutions but have my fingers crossed that Allo does take off...need a great cross platform solution (sorry, Whatsapp is next to useless in the US).

Why would people sent pics or videos through in I message? That's what WhatsApp is for

WhatsApp is actually quite impressive for video sharing as it allows fine tuning of the video size when you choose to send it. If it's a short video, you can choose to send it in full resolution up to a maximum size of 50mb or you can move the slider and reduce the size down considerably.

Anything longer than a few minutes, I use YouTube or Google Photos.
 
I've been using my 6s+ for the last few days, it feels like a brick in comparison to the S7E. The size feels really outdated in comparison

I've been using a 6s Plus since September and I just got an S7 edge a few days ago.

Apple Music is decent on Android. The user interface on iOS is much better though. The only thing that really bothers me is that it's constantly buffering (lagging?) right before the next song.

Example: song A (5-10 seconds left) > buffers (5-10 seconds) > song B

Most likely a bug since Apple Music is still technically a beta on Android.
 
got my Dbrand Titanium Skin (only back) delivered today. Wow, it looks really nice. It was a tough job to apply properly. But again, I have got the look back of the S7 back instead of those ugly plastic TPU condoms or other covers/case.

I really hate covers/cases, first you buy a well designed smartphone and then you're like: okay, lets put a cheap plastic condom (TPU case) around it, or even worse, one of those Spigen Armor Case and make a brick of your smartphone...haha 😉
