iPhone rumour. Galaxy feature. The cycle continues.

Indeed. Samsung rushes something to the market based on Apple rumours. A few months later Apple comes out with the actually useful version of it.

Androidians (or Samesungists): We did it first!

iOSians: So what? Ours actually works.

Somebody at Samsung's Industrial Espionage Division gets fired, Apple wins customer satisfaction awards and makes the profits.

They actually make it pretty easy for Apple at Samsung: it helps Apple to have something inferior on the market to compare to.

Ohhh....!!!!!! Give us something useful à major software update not an unlock function, stop with ur stupid design change the phone cant get anymore beautiful (on the back atleast) Love it!

I remember when Siri was introduced IT was so amazing a real game changer in technology! Its whats inside not outside!

I Love the haptic engine its amazing
Bring us more of that goody

So when a thief bonks you over the head with a lead pipe, they can grab your phone and conveniently unlock it in 0.01 seconds. Watch your backs, future S8 owners.

That could happen with fingerprint scanners too. What are you talking about? Lol. Even my wife could get into my phone while im asleep by just resting my finger on touch id. Thats worse.

Samsung didn't rush the Galaxy to the market. It released the same time it does every year in August. How is that rushing? And I mean this sincerely without sarcasm. Point is, to many times the Note 7 punch line states it was "Rushed." When in fact, it wasn't. I believe It was a design flaw that hurt the Note 7. Not the release date.

Ahh yes, how easy it will be for a thief to unlock your phone with his own fac .....eeeehhh, hang on. Wait, I need something else, that makes a tad sense, in order to smear excrement on Samsung. Hhhhhhmmmmm..... darn it, this will be a long wait .....while everyone is waiting, here's a video on Apple's security, which we of course all know is way better than Samsungs and every one elses

Anyone remember back in the 80's when MacGuyver was able to lift prints off a handprint scanner? Hmm tech hasn't been better since has it?

Remove them with botox.
Then try again...

On a serious note, I think the ageing thing is not going to happen overnight to make any difference. It takes years.... by which time you probably have moved to a new device.

There it is..... I knew it, Apple was being sneaky and trying to make us buy new iPhones so they can rake in the $$'s.... crafty I say.

Haptic engine for the win.

Question: What happens if you
- lose/gain weight
- do makeup
- get older like wrinkles
- accident that affect your face
Etc
The iris never changes
It uses the measurements between your eyes, forehead to chin, etc to make up your facial profile not how you look day to day

Delusional?? Talk like an adult man!

Samsung R&D at it again. iPhone rumor. Samsung production.

Android/Samsung have had face unlock since 2011.

People also forget that MFA stands for Multi-Factor Authentication so it's actually stronger to combine multiple methods of iris, face, fingerprint, etc. to prevent issues with children easily bypassing Apple Touch ID.
