I think they better get second chance reborn as newer machine rather than…lamp?

Well…they are hackintosh…while hack itself are unethical in Apple way but sometimes forbidden method are best way to give power for old machine with modern internals.

I have one of these on a shelf...
Just wondering if it is large enough to fit the innards of a 2018 Mac mini inside, and add a VESA mount to the arm for a 27 inch display :cool:
I think it’s possible. Some of users successfully fitted Intel NUC boards, so putting 2018 Mini should be possible.

Something infinitely more satisfying about repurposing iconic Macs giving them a meaningful and useful second life like here, rather than simply butchering them to make a frankly stupid and ugly “accessory” like this ceiling lamp.
In the original post linked in the article it said the logic board was physically damaged. It did not have a meaningful and useful second life available.
