For the past few days I have not been able to open Game Center on my iPhone 5S running the latest version of iOS 9. When I press the app, all that opens is a blank white screen. When I go into settings and press Game Center, the settings for Game Center do not open- it just freezes on the Settings menu. When I play a game connected to Game Center, the game says it cannot sign me in to Game Center. I am running the same version of iOS on an iPad mini 2 (which also has an A7 processor) and Game Center works just fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

My wife had this issue back on iOS 8 with Game Center and Jeopardy. Except it kept quitting out on her.

My solution (which I had to use more than once) was to sign out of Game Center and then sign back in. I even went so far at one point to delete Jeopardy.

In a few instances I had to keep trying to get the damn center to load by retapping on it each time it quit.

So try logging out then logging back in.

Do you mean log out on my iPad and / or Mac since I can't even get anything up on the phone?

On your iPhone. You log out from Game Center inside the Settings app.

Like I said, I can't even get to that menu as when I press "Game Center" in the Settings App it freezes right there in the settings menu and never proceeds to the screen you posted.
Oh! OK. What happens if you delete the games that you'd ordinarily play through Game Center?

Eh, I'm not deleting them, I have quite a few and don't want to lose progress. I feel like it must have something to do with the phone / iOS and not the games since I can't even access the settings for Game Center. I think I might contact Apple even though it isn't the end of the world. Thanks for your help though.

If anyone cares or has the same problem, the guy I spoke with from Apple said it was a known issue and hopefully the next iOS update will fix it. He took my info and gave it to the engineers as well as gave me his direct email if it doesn't get fixed. I'll post an update if I remember.
