Gamecenter Requires iCloud in iOS11, but Why?

i always turned off icloud on all my devices but on iOS 11 when i turn off iCloud for "Game Center", it logs my iPhone out of game center entirely, is iCloud required for gamecenter to function now?

Not sure but it is no longer a stand alone application of iOS. It has been blended into the services so it might very well depend on that now. It was in the past as you recall a part unto itself.

Yeah it sure was, it has been blended into the iOS Services since iOS 10 but it never REQUIRED iCloud to be active, if you disable Gamecenter for iCloud now it enitrely disables gamecenter and logs you out, thats a bit bizzare but oh well
