Games on mac or bootcamp

    I heard that the on under Windows that the GMA X3100 can acess 337mbs of ram.. but under OSX, it can only use 144mb to its advantage. Do u feel that games made for PC or Windows would run better on the X3100 under Bootcamp (FPS wise, ect.) then games made for Mac...?

    Yes, the GMA X3100 works better in Windows Vista/XP, but Vista is a resource hog.

    I am sure games run better under Windows with atleast 2 GBs of RAM.

    thats with the newer drivers for windows right? Also, would it possible to overclock the X3100 chip when in windows..? if so, would it be a smart thing to do on a laptop.. possibly overheat?:confused:

    Although it's "technically" possible, it would be just plain silly to overclock an integrated chip.

    However, the latest drivers in XP provide hardware T&L which increases support for alot of games, plus the aforementioned ram access difference makes an impact also.

    never knew this, thanks for the info :) and of course it would be better to run under bootcamp then games for mac

    It's still integrated, and it is still bad.

    Just what type of games do you plan to lay?
