How are you getting a subsidized phone every year?

I have 4 lines amongst my household. Every year at least one of them is eligible for a upgrade. This year we had 2 lines that happened to become eligible a couple of months ago. I took advantage of it and got a 6 Minus for my wife and ordered a 6 Plus for myself. By next September there will be another 2 lines eligible so I will be looking to pick up a 6S Plus (subsidized) after my 6 Plus sells for at least $650 a year from now.
Rinse and repeat.

What does it cost you to have the two extra lines (which I'm guessing are not attached to any working phones)? This is interesting.

$200 for each iPhone 4 at ATT (total of 2) and ATT allowed me to use them to pay off my iPhone 6.

Very easy... You can also use them towards your bill as well... Note you cannot use them for NEXT monthly payments though apparently...

It's not terrible, but I just sold my iPhone 5 32gb unlocked for $300 on Craigslist, and probably could have gotten $25 more, but decided to take the quick offer and be done with it.

I don't really understand the issues people have with Craigslist. Use your common sense, meet in a public place, and take only cash. Not much that can go wrong, and SO much better than Ebay.

GameStop gave me $183 for my ATT 16gb iPhone 5. What do you think

They are actually. The 2 addition lines are attached to 'dumb phones' or non-smartphones if you will. My daughter uses one and they other we utilize as a home phone. Each line with a non-smartphone associated with it cost an additional $10 (per line) each month.

About 2 years ago I purchased a 64GB 4S for $400 (subsidized). Six months later I sold it for $550 on Amazon. Turned around and bought a 64GB iPhone 5 for $400 (subsidized).
Sold my 64GB iPhone 5 last year for $650 on Amazon. Then turned around and bought a 32GB iPhone 5S for $300 (subsidized)
I just sold my the 32GB iPhone 5S on Amazon for $500.
Just used that same $500 to purchase a 128GB iPhone 6+.....

Lesson Learned: iPhones pay for themselves.....

I walked into a GameStop and got $230 cash for each of my two 16 gb iPhone 5's on opening weekend. This was with the help of a somewhat hidden promo they were running.
