so bootcamp will let me run OSX and windows?

Yes. You can dual boot with bootcamp. You switch between one and the other by holding alt on bootup and choosing osx or windows.

I've decided not to go through all the hassle, minecraft runs fine and thats my favourite game, it may not be the most powerful computer, but if I ever need a more powerful laptop ill just buy a gaming one later as well as my mac
