how is gaming with retina screens? will i have the typical "blurry" effect while gaming at non-native resolution?

Actually, some games run just fine at 4K in Windows -- e.g., Alien: Isolation is entirely playable at 3840x2160, for instance, although it's smoother at 3200x1800 and looks just as good. Depends on the game, although you're more likely to find yourself winding up at 2560x1440 for a lot of newer games. Regardless, it'll look just fine, since the display has enough pixels that the scaling's not obvious.

i actually have an 27" late 2013 with gtx 775m 2gb. i play Hearthstone, D3, and SC2, at 2560x1440p al graphics details maxed. i was aware of getting a retina imac cause of the blurry effect. but if u say that the image quality will be the same as now, then i upgrade immediately. also which is the performance boost from 775m>m395? icant find the m395 here:

M395 will be a faster card however it's AMD so the drivers will be awful.
