We may be looking at yet another named tropical storm (Gamma, if so) coming up here (according to current projections). Still half a month of hurricane season left, but geez.

News articles are already starting to surface stating worries that the New Orleans levees aren't yet ready for another storm...

Its way to early to know where this one will end up - the predict path shows it going right at Mexico - again - so Cosumel might have some more to worry about.

What will really be a good indication on how bad things are this year is if there is a storm outside of the season - say in December. I hope not, but the way things are going it wouldn't surprise me.

After having dissipated, the depression has resurfaced as Tropical Storm Gamma. And guess what? It's heading for Florida. It doesn't appear currently that it will reach hurricane status, fortunately.
