Hi,

does anyone have the same issue? This is quite horrendous.

does anyone have the same issue?
Are you saying that you can't drag the window any higher? "Maximize" isn't a feature of macOS. "Full Screen" is, but that's not what you have in the picture. How did you get the window so big? I assume you sized and positioned it manually.

No. Try setting your Toolbar back to default.

I don't know what you mean? Can you please elaborate?

Yes, I can't drag the window higher. There is always this gap.

Sure! You are showing the Safari window, so choose View>Customize Toolbar. Then drag the default set into the toolbar. Just a possible fix. Other things that may not work but you could give it a go: try out different desktops; try changes in System Preferences>Displays; changes in System Preferences>Dock & MenuBar; changes in System Preferences>Accessibility>Display.

Finally, try the old (and best) diagnostic: Create a new, pristine admin user and login; see if the problem(s) persist. If they are fixed, you have a bad plist. Good luck!

I can't be the only one with this

You can clearly see the wallpaper.

I took a a screen recording. I can't push it higher

It's been this way since forever, 1pt for 1x scaling, 2pt for 2x scaling. It's less noticeable on 1x scaling because that 1pt includes window shadow outline, so technically gap exists only on 2x scaling.

I have the exact same issue, its always been like it since I got the new M1 Pro.

I've seen similar 1 or 2 pixel mismatches in Safari UI elements over the years. None of them could be widely reproduced or garner enough interest to fix. They eventually went away with updates. I attribute it to minor mistakes triggered by odd circumstances that stick around until the broken bits get replaced.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't this way on my Intel MBP. Or can anyone with one have the same issue?

I do have it on my intel mac. I use Magnet so i thought the app caused this, but since it doesn’t really bother me unless I deliberately see it, i tend to forget about it.
