i set my songs for gapless but they don't play that way in my 5th gen ipod or ipod nano. is there something i need to do or does that feature only work with new ipods?

also, when i updated to itunes 7.0.1 and updated my ipod, it said i couldn't transfer all of my files because my ipod software was too old. however, it said on the ipod that it was up to date.

what gives?

Have you told iTunes to check for updates? On a PC *gasp* it's under Help > Check for Updates. There may be updated software for the iPod that iTunes just hasn't seen. Other than that I'm really not sure.

my computer that my ipod is connected to doesn't have internet connectivity, so i have to get programs from work and take them home on a disk.

is it possible to find ipod 1.2 somewhere?
