i have gaps in the seam around my AirPods case under the lid. This collects dirt etc. I never noticed this with first gen. Anyone else? Thanks

I don't have any gaps in my gen 2 (Wireless charging) case. If I were you, I'd exchange it if I was still within my 2 weeks of purchase. If not, make a Genius appointment and get it replaced.

Seems like a non-issue, but if it bothers you enough, send your photos to Apple directly, I’m sure they’ll replace the battery case for you.

(This was also similar to what happened with the actual AirPods themselves being assembled, with a slight gap where dirt lodged in around the adhesive, other members had their AirPods replaced due to this.)
 
Non issue. Went to Apple store and checked 2 wireless cases and all had same gaps in same areas. Normal.
