garage band issue...NEVERMIND. (MODS PLEASE CLOSE)

***hasty post,sorry. figured it out. thank you for your time. good bye:apple:***

so opened garage band for the first time today on my new imac and there are no loops installed. the app gives me one of 3 options

1. check for software update(which only finds a "pages" update
2. I can't remember 2
3. install from dvd

i'm assuming #3 refers to the install disks.

my questions...

* am i wrong in assuming garage band comes preloaded w/ some starter loops

* if i do need to install them from dvd, how do i specify that i only want apple garage band loops loaded and nothing else?
