Will garageband even run on a 300mhz clamshell with 256mb RAM running OS 10.3 and if so more or less how many simultaneous tracks.

If it will run, I don't want to think about it... Minimum requirements on Apple's website say at least a 600 MHz G3... So I doubt it'll run, but if it does, it'll be ugly.

I dont think it will install, i think you need a display with at least 1024 x 768 pixel & a few Gig of HD.

Don't even think about it. The results I had with a White G3 900 iBook with 640MB weren't too pretty; with a machine half that speed it'd almost certainly be grotesque.
