Can anyone recommend some good drum plugins for GarageBand? I am recording rock music and need a good sounding virtual drum kit. I guess I need the AU format of plugin?

    Thanks

I would like something much less expensive than Addictive Drums, EZ Drummer, etc.

Give us a ball park figure.
When you say 'good', how 'good' do you want it to be? Have you tried the built-in drum samples in Garageband?
I've never tried the two apps you mentioned, but if we're talking about absolute live-like quality, look no further than BFD2. It's a tremendous drum sampler. I think it's around $400 so it's probably out of your range, but that's what I consider to be 'good'. It's absolute value for money.
Having said all that, I don't think garageband has any bus sends (which you can use through the plugin in your host DAW for a proper mix), so it may well be a waste for you.
If you're only using garageband, why not get something like iDrum? Personally, I think you should just stick to the built-in sounds until you upgrade to a DAW (Logic, Digital Performer, Pro Tools, etc).

    EDIT:

    Making of BFD2
