GarageBand help - original file not located

Just trying to trim parts of songs to make some ringtones.
Why do i get this error? If I go into iTunes and select the same song it plays

When i do this, nothing happens, well, I can see the album art cover as i move it but on release nothing happens??

Try dragging the song from iTunes rather than the Media Menu.

I think the Media Menu works like an Alias of a Folder does. You were dragging Aliases of the music into GB.
