GarageBand: keep playing note while piano key is held down?

I'm using GarageBand and the piano simulator.

When I press down on a key, the note is played and then recedes in strength, just like a real piano.

Is there an option or filter that will have GarageBand keep playing the note at full strength for as long as I hold the piano key down? Or at least elongate the note for 2-3 seconds at full strength?
