Garageband media browser

I've used GB for some time, making radio clips. Always been simple enough with reasonable results. Today though, I can't access the podcast menus etc. Have no button or menu selection to find the media browser. When openng old projects I get an error message about reloading or modifying "Defender."

Any clues?
