Garageband on iPad

Does Garageband work just as well on an iPad as it does on a MacBook ? Same interface and results?

Not the same interface, but if you know GB on the Mac you'll pick it up in no time. It's basically stripped down for a touch interface. IIRC, there was one IAP I did to unlock more sounds/instruments. Was only a few dollars. Haven't really messed with it in a long time.
