Hi, I just recorded a live performance with garageband running on my powerbook. I'm starting to think this might not have been the best idea.

Garageband seems to have recorded everything fine (sounds great). But it won't let me listen to anything beyond 996 (I don't know the units) on the topmost bar. The purple slider moves to the left, but not to the right.

Is there anyway to expand the length of the recording? if there's not, what can I do?

Did it actually record anything past the 996 measures?

I'll point you over to this post I replied to a while back as I think this is the problem you are referring to. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/189813/

Basically Garageband has a time measurement / beat per minute limit under default settings that only gives you about a maximum of 30 some minutes or a bit under a thousand measures. The above link should give you some more info on it and how to modify your settings to get more time out of it. Though sadly it has to be done before you start recording.
