garageband trouble

I've been trying some stuff in garageband. But there's one thing I just can't seem to find. How do I record music with garageband from my electric guitar??

I'd be glad if someone helped me out with this.

Plug your guitar into the Mac's audi-in, make a new track that's a "Real Instrument" (as opposed to internal "Software Instrument") and hit the big red Record button

You can play with amps and effects to your heart's content even after the recording is done.
