Hi!

I received a replacement phone from a refurbished seller and there’s some sort of digital noise on the upper part of the screen when using the camera. This rubbish doesn’t appear in photos, only during the preview. The phone also came with a protective glass which I’m not sure might be the cause. I’ve attached a photo for reference.
I’m waiting to hear back from the seller but this might take some time.

This happens ONLY when taking photos or using the camera (ex. as a webcam). This "noise" does not appear on the photo, only on screen.

U sure it has a screen protector? Its kind of hard to tell if it has one, but you are mentioning this refurbished iPhone has a screen that was swapped, right?

I’d say if it was swapped, they definitely didn’t use a genuine Apple screen in any way or pasted a defective one on it.

Can you exchange it with the vendor or contact them if you can still return or exchange the iPhone?

Everything is original, no swapped screen or battery. I also removed the screen protector but I still see what I described when taking pictures or viewing videos. At least the phone is operating as expected. Let’s see what the vendor will have to say on this issue.

This is likely a hardware issue or defect. Get it sorted ✔️ with the seller. If they can’t give you a refund or exchange, go get this iPhone checked out at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store.

They can rule out the screen issue, OLED anomaly and swap it out with a genuine Apple display.
