I was thinking that seeing as everyones MP will be showing up in the next few weeks I wanted to have a guess at the Geekbench score for my new MP.

I have ordered 3.33 six core, going to put 8gb RAM in there. Also with the 5870.

I would like at least a score of 11000.

you think this is a good estimate ?

    Even my 2009 2.26GHz octad makes 14000.

My guess is more like 15000.

15000 would be awesome, let hope people started running benchmarks ASAP so we can compare the different specs with numbers.

I would be surprised if it didn't score 16,000+ with a decent amount of RAM in there.

Two Dell workstation scores (32-bit version on XP) of ~11,000 just showed up for a dual E5620 (same as new 8-core Pro). Strangely lists the RAM as 3.62 GB which I'm guessing is due to the 32-bit limitation.

Now I want to see that score in 64-bit mode.

Im hoping that my 6-Core w/ 16GB ram can bench at least 15,000. It's a MAJOR upgrade from my 13" MBP which gets around 3.5K!! :D Can't wait!

Yeah, I'd guess in the 26-28K range (depending on which 12 core)
