I have a tenth gen and it gets the job done with a 550 Watt PSU. I figure my system uses about 300 watts total. This stuff with PL2 is just crazy.
Yeah. Air cooling these parts is going to be rough for sure. I have a 850W PSU, which now that I am looking at RX7900XT power requirements, may not be enough for it and the water loop I have. my coworker is crazy wants to go from a 12900k+3080 to the 13900k+4090 this year. Of course they are also wanting to get the Lian Li DK-04f so really going with the top end stuff isn't out of the ordinary for them, I guess.

I have a lot of equipment to test out and a fair test would be with monitors and speakers to compare to an iMac.
