Anyone notice after the recent geekbench app update, scores have gone down? My original 5 was getting 16xx and now my replacement 12-13xx?? Should I worry? I noticed there was a gb app update...

Not really no. Seems to be the same as the other one. But now my brain is going to be telling me its slower haha

----------

Just ran a 1643. I feel better now :D

My replacement started in the 1200s but after a few attempts was back in the 1600s.

I emailed one of the developers about that. The A6 is very dynamic in how it adjusts its speed based on load to save power. I have run so many geekbench tests. On some low ends I have seen 800 on my iphone 5 and scores ranging all the way up to 1647. I think it is just the processor adjusting itself and GB might release an updated version of the app to give more accurate results.

So OP, I don't think your phone is faulty, it's just the nature of this new processor. Unless you are experiencing a lot of lag elsewhere in the OS.

Some of my scores (all 4 tests ran in a row with no apps open). Notice how the A6 increases speed each time to adjust for the conditions.

Thanks guys. I was being paranoid. So far this phone seems perfect an I was expecting something to be wrong ;). Runs fine. Processor must just "adapt" I guess.

I just did 3 in a row. First one was 852. I hopped out, loaded up a few more programs, ran it again and got 14xx. Jumped out and ran still more apps, then ran it again and got 1638. :)

As others have said, the A6 must be pretty dynamic and GB must have updated it to be more accurate. Using another app, I have no over-use of memory or processor power so all looks well.
