Haha..your device is a beast
5s is still a beast
😉 iOS 10 rruns beautifully on it
I was gonna guess an iPod touch 6th gen (with the A8) upon initial glance.
Performance on that is almost identical to the 5s

Meh not necessarily. My GF went from 6s to 7 for battery and camera. I went from 6s to 7Plus for screen and camera. Both single and multi-core for the 7 have it at 30% faster than the 6s.
What a lot of people don't realize when bringing up benchmark scores is that those scores use the faster cores of the A10, not the slower cores (of the bigLITTLE architecture) which is what you phone uses for 90 percent of the tasks.
The 6s is just as fast as the 7 in day to day usage. The 7 is pretty much the same phone in day to day usage. Unless you take a lot of night time shots and hated the noise in those pics when editing on a high res monitor, and I really mean editing, some people are going to be hard-pressed to drop that much money on a marginal upgrade.
In my use the 7 barely lasts more than an hour over the 6s and the 6s was fine for a day.
Going to a plus model is more justifiable I will agree with you there. But point is just as you feel it was worth the upgrade, some people hav legitimate reasons for viewing the 7 as a minor upgrade from the 6s. Because...Well that's what it is. Very minor upgrade.
