GeekTool Opens Mail App after Setup....NEED HELP!!

after setting up GeekTool 3.0 for whatever reason, it opens the mail application.....it annoys the heck outta me! I actually deleted the mail app thinking that would solve the problem which it actually did at some point...but after updating my macbook pro to update 10.6.7 for the early 2011 pro's it came back. Is there anyway that i could make this stop? it would be most appreciated.
