I will getting the iMAC 21.5" i5-2.9Ghz with 8GB RAM, Fusion drive and 650M in 2-3 months.

    I have now a desktop i5 661 at 3.33ghz, 4GB ram and gts 250.

The question is, for casual gaming should i keep the my computer too, or the imac should perform at least the same performance?

When i saying games i mean titles like diablo 3/starcraft 2 /league of legends and a little of the rest

    Thank you

The 650M will be much faster than the three year older GTS 250.

Look here for benchmarks for the GTS 250 from 2009 and the 650M from 2012.

But the link to Gts 250 is the link to the notebook version 250M.
I have a PC desktop with Geforce Gts 250, i think with 1 GB

Anyway, here is another link, the 650M is still stronger than a three year older GPU, as is a 2012 CPU to a 2010 CPU.

If you want, you can test it yourself by installing the same Windows version (hopefully 7, since XP will not work on a 2012 iMac) onto the Mac and installing the same game on both PCs and then comparing their fluidity.

After that is done, sell your Windows based PC and use your iMac.

Or get a better thread title to get a more knowledgeable audience.

    Or ...

Roughly GT 640, give or take (the GT 640 comes only with DDR3 memory AFAIK)

So 650M is better than GT 640 because of it's DDR3?
