I have a 20gb gen4 iPod. It was all set up, and full of my music. I reformated my imac's hard drive so iTunes is empty. I need to get the music from my iPod back into the iMac with out spending hours putting in cd's. I heard there is a way to transfer from the ipod into iTunes can you help????

Thanks
Chris

You didn't plan this did you, or plan it well, because you could have hooked up your iPod as a hard drive, and stored the music files. Then later, transfer them put back onto your Mac. Now you might need to buy a program to the rip the songs back off your iPod onto your Mac because Apple didn't allow the iPod to transfer its songs that are in the playlists back to the computer. Otherwise everyone would be passing around their iPods ripping getting thousands of songs for free.

Choose from many different programs.
