Alright, before i pose my questions, just wanna say that i know most of these have been answered before, so please dont link to mroogle or any of that. If it bothers you that i ask answered questions (which i cant find the the life of me) then dont reply, thank you.

    onto the questions...

    1) im planning on buying 64GB model, after installing Mac OSX, and iLife, how much is actually left, ie, usable space.

    2) im a student, and will be taking it home and to school everyday, hence the MBA, but i cant figure out how much RAM i should get. I will be runnning word, itunes, chrome with several tabs, some light-to medium photoshop, not necessarily at the same time. Also ill be using the MBAs native monitor aswell as an extra monitor at home, so two screens. Dont know if that should be taken into consideration?

    3) does one USB port output more power? im asking because im going to run a USB hub of one when im home, aswell as charging/syncing my iPod Touch, so are they at different power outputs, or both the same strength?

Just a sidenote, this is my own money, that im saving up for, so the RAM isnt about money, its just if two is fine, then i wont use the money on sth i dnot need, if that makes sense? if i need four ill just save up a bit longer:D.

thank you for any input/ answers...

I would go for the 128GB SSD option.. plus more memory would be nice for futureproofing since the memory is not upgradeable. The apple refurb store has some good deals..

    $1,189.00 !!
Refurbished MacBook Air 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    11.6-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display

    4GB memory

    128GB solid-state drive

NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics

If you have anyone in the US you could ship get it shipped since your in Beijing. :)))

yeah... it sucks living out here. Macs can get up to 4000 RMB more expensive...thats around 700 USD? for a base modell... its messed up.

ive been checking the HK refurb store as we know people in HK, but alas, theres nothing coming up.
yeah i was pretty sure i would wanna get 4 GB. just wanted to see what others had to say...

    dammit...

if you're only running word and itunes, providing your itunes library isn't huge, 64gb should do, although i'd definitely go for the 4gb of ram.
at the moment, i've got 3 tabs open in safari, and itunes and mail are open, and i'm using 1.72gb. so if you only had 2gb, especially with lion just around the corner... you might struggle come summer.
great machine though, you'll love it.

I used an 11" MBA for two weeks while trying to decide if I wanted to keep it and the 2Gb 64Gb SSD was fine for everything you described.

The SSD had about 48Gb Free with all software/firmware updates and a few app's from the apple store online.

It was great/light and fairly quick but I already have SSD's in both my other laptops.

I decided I shouldn't keep it based on my whitebook (m225 SSD w/ 4Gb RAM) and HP DM4 (i5, intel G2 x-25 SSD w/ 8 Gb RAM & only 4.2 lbs) in my signature line that are still working fine so I wanted to see what Rev B/C brings to the 11" MBA before I commit to keeping one of them...

    Good luck with your decision!
