General Mobile Me Question...

This might be a silly question, but here goes...

Aside from syncing over the air, what does MM do that I can't do when I dock my phone for the night? In other words, if automatic real time updates aren't required (which I'm guessing it's not for a lot of folks here) then why bother with MM?

I'm wondering if folks got in over their heads with sync technology that they might not even need (me included). 🙄

Yup, I agree. It's a lot of hot air really.

I agree...

Plus without push turned on you get much longer battery life on the iPhone. This I have tested myself... Up to 2-3 more hours per day (with average use).

MobileMe is more directed for people who have a Home Computer, iPhone/iTouch, and Work Computer.

It does not matter which one you are on they will constantly be synced.

I have had this problem for years. I use Gmail, Google Calendar, and address book. Using Me I can now use iCal, Gmail, and Address Book. They are all synced the same with no differences and no restrictions where I update.
